Weekend...

Had a very good weekend! Visited old friends at a new school, tasted the best carrots I had ever had; learned a few things about myself including the following: I like chopping vegetables and want learn to cook, I actually like the strange Fountainview Academy custom of eating toast with butter, brewer's yeast, and cayenne pepper on it, and I like playing the harp; and finally, another step in reconciliation with an old and dear friend has been taken. Such a great weekend! =) Now it's time to get back into the daily grind, not that I mind. I love my school and my friends here... but there is always that part of my mind that wonders what would have happened if... ?

The Road Not Taken (by Robert Frost)
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Writing...

I don't know what it is about this evening, but this evening, I feel like writing.  The only difficulty is that I actually have nothing to write about.  This time of the evening is when I am most alert and awake and all my creative juices are flowing.  Perhaps I ought to paint something.  I'm trying to learn to paint (as previously mentioned).  However, one simple fact remains: I'm a horrid painter.  So painting, while a good exercise for my "creative juices," is actually a very frustrating and discouraging process for me.  I did, however, find a painting tutorial that I will try to complete before bed tonight.  I shall post the result tonight (as well as the other paintings I was going to because our internet connection seems to be doing a little better this evening).

... I wonder if there's a way to see how many people view my blog...

Art...

So I've been reading these artists' blogs and they inspired me to start posting my art... They also inspired me to start painting/sketching regularly so that one day I will be as good as them........ maybe... x) I discovered that many of the blogs I enjoyed most were the blogs of artists who work at DreamWorks and Pixar.... =D I think my favorite one belongs to Goro Fujita.
Anyhow, here are the only three paintings I've made that I actually like... there are only a couple more, but they're junk... x) not that these aren't junk... =P I use a Wacom Bamboo Tablet (basically a "pen-and-paper" for the computer) and work in Photoshop Elements........ Though I have Alias Sketchbook Pro so I probably ought to be using it.... x) oh well... later... =)
....................................
oh bother... my internet connection is being stupid... I'll upload the pictures from school tomorrow... =)

Memory...

I hate it when I come up with something I like, whether a bit of music or a phrase I like the sound of, and then forget it! I was going to post it here, but didn't... I think I first said it in a Gmail chat and thought it memorable enough to... well... remember. x) Obviously it wasn't that memorable...

Connections...

Oh what a privilege high-speed internet is... ... we really need to upgrade... even Gmail has difficulty loading on our connection... It's like living at the North Pole, everywhere is south of there. Everywhere is faster than here. x)
